About RTX Sheerlink™

The situation: Challenges in Wireless Audio Transmission
The typical issue with wireless audio is the latency in the audio link when converting from analog to digital and then transmitting through the air and vice versa. Another common problem is the robustness of the radio technology used, as other radios operating in the same frequency band can affect the performance of the radio link.
The solution: Wireless Audio with RTX Sheerlink™
The RTX Sheerlink™ solution is equipped with the RTX Sheersound Codec (Patent WO2018233788), which offers latency as low as approximately 2.5 ms (analog to analog). RTX supports two radio bands: the ISM 2.4 GHz and the DECT 1.9 GHz.
For the ISM band, the Sheerlink™ solution features RTX's dual diversity technology (Patent WO2020007914) to ensure an extremely robust radio link. This is combined with the RTX protocol to achieve low latency. This solution has consistently outperformed other proprietary solutions in this frequency band.
The DECT version provides a reserved frequency band and a longer range, which is preferable for certain applications as an alternative to the ISM-based solution.
